This weekend's experiments

Tried out a couple of new materials, the Flybox wormy legs for squirmy worms and some Gelcore Fritz. The worm material is the slipperiest stuff going, it takes some finagling to get it to stay where you want it, can't glue it, can't coat it, just lay a base and tie it down. Tried threadless as well, too slippery for that without a thread base. Did 5 of ea colour, I think maybe I have it figured out now, sorta.
And I quickly tried a couple with Gelcore fritz, nice to work with, colours are outstanding. Everything is on #10 hooks, some circles for the worms, some barbless jigs for the fritz thingies |
Looks like it should be deadly on trout and whitefish. Well done!

Where did you get the material. I've been looking for that stuff

ooo I will have to try that

Flymart in Ont has some Gelcore Fritz now, he may have wormy material as well. Saw some done with Spanflex , looked pretty good. I have some Spanflex here, haven't tried it yet. I have another order of stuff due this wk from him. Guess I should go check my mail. Shud be some translucent fritz and some micro fritz in there.
