Radiant Shop Heat

I have a 32x40x16 shop. I’m using a radiant heater. I notice there is a lot of difference between heat the top and the bottom of the shop (obviously). I want to put in circulation fans but I cant lose the clearance so ceiling mounts are out. Anyone suggestions?

Wire up a couple of bathroom fans on the ceiling and run the piping downs the walls would work.

Mount a regular desk fan at 90 deg off a wall. Blow up or down and it should circulate air. I have forced air, always missing the silence of radiant heat.

Mount a 3 inch PVC pipe vertically from the floor up to the ceiling. Put a small slow fan in the PVC pipe at the bottom of the pipe blowing out. So the tube sucks the warm air from the ceiling and blows it onto the floor. These types of tubes placed along the walls or corners can increase your floor temps by a few degrees.

PVC pipe/fan - that is great idea, thanks!

Should be able to direct heat/air flow to where I want. This should help air flow under trucks/help floor temps.

Wish I woulda thought of that....

16' shop is going to need a fair bit of air movement to get that heat down. Are you sure you can't put ceiling fans in? They can usually be mounted higher than the overhead door tracks.
If you absolutely can't, I'd look at putting some more attic insulation in. To get 18C at floor level, you are probably running 30C or more at ceiling.
