Cliff diving moose.

Mmmm... doused moose. That's how they salt marinade their moose on the east coast.
Actually...That looked like quite the predicament. Very limited choices for the young bull. Hope he missed the rocks below the surface. |
Did you hear the one about the Newf & the moose..............This your cousin from back home??

I think Talking Moose was just out of frame to the left, egging the other moose on. I'm not sure though whether he was yelling or was being a moose whisperer
|
Well, he's caught between a rock and a hard place.
Grizz |
They said it popped up and swam to the other side. Good thing they are strong swimmers cause diving is not so great. We watched a moose swim across Lake Revelstoke about 10 years ago and that was almost one km wide.

I was working at the Prince Albert pulp mill about 5 yrs ago at the intake pump house when we heard some rustling in the bush, out comes a Deer full tilt right at us with a wolf hot on it's heals.
He ran RIGHT in between 5 of us almost bowling a few guys over and went right over a 100' drop over the embankment getting all spun around in our Dredge anchor cables that were about half way down the embankment. He got his bearings straight and swam across the NSR while the Wolf split the other way. |
Just curious Moose, but moments before this happened, did you happen to look at the Oilers roster for the coming season?

Riding one could get you a $25,000 fine or more if caught. They use to be used by the northern people or (RC'S) for riding umpteen years ago. Almost got bowled over by a Big Bull in Sioux Lookout when fishin in the bush. He was knockin trees down like no tomorrow. Snortin and gruntin. I was about 10 at the time. 50+ years later I will never forget that sound

Obviously climate change made the moose jump
Pay your carbon tax ....save the moose! |
