Used gun dealers in alberta?

Who sells a decent amout of used guns in alberta? Looking for a certain gun.

Dean2 08-13-2020 02:00 PM

Prophet River, Bashaw Sports and P&D are the only two who sell any volume of used. Ellwood Epps in Ontario probably carries ten time the used inventory of them combined. IF you are looking for something specific search CGN and AO. A lot better likelihood of finding it. Also, if you can find one in the States, Prophet or IRGuns will bring it up for you as will Borderview.

I'm looking for a savage 24 22/410 dl. Anyone know of where one would be or has one they want to sell?

Dean2 08-13-2020 02:44 PM

There are at least two on CGN for sale right now.

urban rednek 08-13-2020 02:56 PM

The Calgary Cabelas location has a used/consignment gun section. I assume their other stores will as well.

Better check the credit card limit. Scary what these things are selling for. CanadianGunnutz has an extensive for sale section, might find one there.

Lol tell me about it, that's how I roll, either I can't find what I want or it's crazy expensive, it's a gift I was given...... Hoping to find one in alberta.

JohnB 08-13-2020 03:58 PM

Not in Alberta but close, Corlanes has the best used selection I have seen.

Dewey Cox 08-13-2020 05:39 PM

Sounds like Torrington is having a gun show at the end of the month, and Olds is having one right away as well.
Might be a good place to look.
Even if you don't see one on the table, those guys have feelers out, and can usually track something down with a couple calls.

M24 in sask

Not the typical tang break but that's pretty much the price they're are going for these days. There was a really nice one on sale in Cochrane probably 3 months ago... that sucker was up for quite a while too.

Fun gun though, my old man has one in great shape that i'm eagerly awaiting to get passed down.

303 Hunter 08-13-2020 06:18 PM

There is currently five Savage 24s for sale on townpost.

Last time I was through there a couple of weeks ago I was surprised to see the used gun section totally empty. Not sure if that is a temporary or permanent thing.

icecold 08-13-2020 09:01 PM

Cabela's Calgary moved all the used guns behind the counter was there a few days back.

Sask Bearman 08-13-2020 09:08 PM

They have always been behind the counter at the Saskatoon Cabela's. Not much there for used the last time I was in.

Hunter guy 08-17-2020 10:33 PM

Nowhere else?

Dewey Cox 08-17-2020 10:35 PM

Put up a "want to buy" ad.
Get the ears and eyes of AOF working for you.

Savage 24 is still made. You can buy new ones in many places. They don't look or feel like the old ones but they work. If you want a used one and insist it is here in Alberta where u can do a face to face deal u could be looking for a long time. Most guys that have them just pass them down to their kids. There aren't that many that actually change hands in a year all across Canada.

The only one's with regulated barrels I've seen where the older barrel selector on the side receiver models.I have a .410/.22 and it's a solid 30 yard gun as it's over choked. Not for sale. They go for between $450-$600

Hunter guy 08-18-2020 03:07 PM

Nothing anywhere... Who else in saskatchewan then?

prarie_boy1 08-18-2020 07:39 PM

TNT gun works in Regina usually has a pretty substantial used inventory. Their prices can be pretty high though.

Try Doug Rayner at rayner shine in lancer sask.

Dewey Cox 09-09-2020 01:54 PM

David Henry has one ( close at least) listed in the for sale section.
But now I see the original poster is banned anyway.

Him getting banned was no loss. He was basically a troll. I sent him specific guns for sale in Alberta, Sask, BC and the rest of Canada. At least a dozen, he just kept posting he couldn't find any. If you check his other posts they were worse yet. Many threads he would ask for help and then just keep repeating the question or bending it slightly and pretending the answers weren't getting to the point. He even went to posting false reports of a legitimate business being closed permanently, which is what finally got him banned. I have no idea what fun these yahoos get out of this type of thing but glad he is gone.

Hmm or maybe he specifically asked for in alberta in his title. He asked for a savage 24 and you say they still make them, which they dont.:thinking-006: which you might say is posting a false report, as you put it. I also seen and have a photo of his website saying permanently closed which you also seen on another thread, which is maybe where he got this from.

Do you know this is what really got him banned 100 %?

crosman177 09-09-2020 10:53 PM

I reached out to him. Major tire kicker that was looking for a free one in DL blued model only. Face to face deal. Very needy. Good luck.
