Hopefully next week. I don't have any 156's yet.

I will be using ADG brass, burning RL26 and H1000.

Chamber cut with .120" freebore.

I have lots of H1000 but haven’t stumbled on Andy RL26 yet. I want some ADG brass too.

I’m getting single digit es and tight groups with h1000

ranchhand 08-31-2019 04:10 PM

Bighorn Sales has ADG brass. If they are out RPS has some too.
I got lucky this summer. TNT Gunworks in Regina received some RL26 in early July. I think it was gone within the week it showed up.

Post your speeds when you get them. I have a PRC and was thinking of trying the 156gr. I'm getting 2950 with the 140s with 58.3gr of H1000. Your group is looking good.

marky_mark 09-14-2019 05:44 PM

I could push them above 3000 FPS with a 6.5x284 and n570

marky_mark 09-14-2019 05:45 PM

I went with h1000 and @ 2940 FPS it’s one ragged home and sd of under 5 fps

Min 1- 8" twist recomended, wonder if my Sako with 1 -9 " twist will stabilize it?

Oal length varies bullet to bullet
Comparator measures the distance to the ogive
It’s by far more accurate.

I have a savage semi custom with a Shillen barrel that is 1-8 twist.
1-9 should stabillize them as long as your not at sea level and -30c

blackburbot 09-16-2019 02:59 PM

Berger has a nice calculator on their website. Velocity plays a role. As well as distance you want to shoot. Distance that a golf ball can fly won't matter, stuff that the average Canadian Tire range finder will start to show issues if they are present. Once you get into 4-digit range it's clear cut
