New Pup Shaping Up

This is Cassie. She has some big shoes to fill but so far so good at just over 6 months. She is marking well in some bad conditions and is very determined. She has started on some doubles and has a very good memory even with some distractions added in.

Of course she keeps a close eye on big Poppy and tries to mimic his every behaviour. It certainly speeds things up.

Always proud of herself, even if others are not

Only time will tell, but hopefully many miles and birds in our future together.

Wow. Great pictures. You have stunningly gorgeous dogs. Thank you for sharing.

On a scale of 1-10 how crazy is Cassie in the house?

She is very well behaved, no damage and only a couple of accidents. She spent the first couple of nights in the crate and has been sleeping through the night on a Kuranda dog bed since. She is the liveliest Lab I have had for a long time but settles right down. It is a slow time of the year for me so I have been able to run her lots so that helps.

Now if you add a few kids to the equation she is off the charts crazy.

What kind of pup do you have? You are not allowed to talk about pups without giving pics. That's a rule:)

CF889, if your pup becomes 1/2 of his mama you will have a helluva hunting dog. His mom is good. Real good.

Lab

The CNIB use the labrador because of its intelligence, trainability, temperment, and ability to adjust to family life.
Most any dog trainer will tell you they have more problem training the owner, than the labrador, this may be a joke, However, the basic rule of thumb, you dont have to yell, smack, or jerk hard on a leash, and go easy on the shock collar.
Our boy copper, an excellant pheasant dog, and has adjusted well to the cats.
Part of the team, and included in most everything, except white tail.
They inherited that strong beautiful head shape from the nfld ancestry.

They seemed like very nice people but besides taking my money and giving me a dog, I really don't know them well enough to make any recommendations.

I have been at this a long time and know several dogs in the bloodlines of this particular breeding. This girl is actually a direct relative of 3 dogs I have owned before. Basically I bought the dog not the kennel and this kennel has a whole bunch of dogs I know nothing about. If not for this one pup, I might still be looking.
