$1000 reward

I had a trail cam stolen from the Alder Flats area. It was a primos game cam black in color. If anyone can lead me to the individual that took it and I retrieve it and get to meet the thief, I will pay $1000. The camera is only worth $150 but the opportunity to enlighten a thief on right and wrong would be very gratifying for me. Thanks Bull

Aw, that sucks dude... lots of that going around this year from what i've been reading.

It's unfortunate but I suppose the moral of the story is not to put trail cams up on public land? I don't think i'd chance one unless it was way off the beaten trail.

I won't be down that way again this year as i'm on call till the end of december but i'll let you know if I hear anything.

Jrbiggamehunter 11-22-2010 01:42 PM

Happens alm the time my buddys had three stolen in three years. Good luck doubt you will here anything.

elkhunter11 11-22-2010 02:59 PM

Trail cam heaven??

Grizzly Adams 11-22-2010 03:30 PM

Could you put one of those GPS transponders in them, like they do equipment and vehicles?:D Bummer and seems to be a very common crime.

trophyboy 11-22-2010 10:06 PM

It would be nice to catch these losers.....on second thought, maybe not! I HATE THIEVES!

338ultra 11-22-2010 10:14 PM

I had one stolen as well 3 years ago, but with pad lock, cable lock and pass word protected all they got was 6 dead d batteries and a 12 dollar SD card.

fat cat 11-22-2010 10:24 PM

It sure ain't like the old days. I remember leaving a whole camp set up with everything left there. chainsaws, powerplants, everything. People came by and had a meal, replaced the chopped firewood, left some rations, and carried on. Now, you can't leave a locked truck, with a grilled cheese sandwich on the dash, or it's broke into. I've had tree stands, and trailcams stole, and it just ain't right. They do make camera's that send pics, direct to your phone or computor. they are expensive, but maybe if all, cameras were marked that way, it would make people think????

deercamp 12-01-2010 04:55 PM

i had one of my cameras found on private land , and way in the trees, luckily they never stole the camera but they did open it up and take the sd card though... just couldnt resist what might be lurking around i guess.

Hello Pines, nice of you to drop in.

Tyangelo 12-01-2010 10:09 PM

This is insane... Like, who really goes into the bush, stumbles on a trail cam, and figures, well, I guess someone forgot it....

I bet all the cams are stolen by some gremlin, and are all hidden in a cave somewheres....Hope you find the bastard.

And grab my buddy's cam while you're at it.

Grizz

That's actually a great idea. Then you could go to the guys house who stole it and ask for your trailcam back.

TreeGuy 12-01-2010 10:35 PM

Same old, same old. This crap has been going on since the day outdoorsmen started leaving gear in the field. I lost alot of gear and fur running little trapline as a kid. :(

32-40win 12-02-2010 12:59 AM

Use the transponder to locate , and think of a way to enable the cops to do a firearms threat search on his place, and mention he was fencing stolen goods too. That oughta screw up his day, real good.

Map Maker 12-02-2010 01:19 AM

what about setting up phony trailcameras that have those exploding paintpacks like banks have for robbers.

Have them neon pink and half filled with skunk ****.

mountainman elkohalic 12-02-2010 04:10 AM

been there before many tree stands and cameras stolen over the years, now I lock everything up, 30 keys and no clue which is for what....lol and it sucks carring in 5ft of 3/8" chain(harder for yahoos to cut) along with everything else......now they just steal my SD cards! I swear to god if I ever catch one of these bastards!!!

fishtrapper 12-02-2010 12:53 PM

There are some real heroes out there. I had a propane heater, two 20 lbs tanks and a meat saw stolen from my trapline skinning shed last week(around nov 23-24th). also a friend had his tree stand stolen around the same time. this apparently is taking place way to often. this case was in in the whitemud area about an hour south of peace river. sure will miss the heater in the ice fishing shack!!

This one actually made me spit corn pops and milk all over my keyboard and monitor.....seriously!!

Yes I know I am eating breakfast for supper.....so sue me.

TBark 12-02-2010 04:03 PM

I've been lucky I guess.
Running 12 + trail cams, never lost one, but I've found a few, ha
kidding, trail cam humor.
Our camp stays vacant 8 of the 10 weeks of the fall, been lucky.

That sucks big time. But be careful on the reward. You might find some dude admitting to being the thief and willing to step into ring just for the cash :fighting0030:

It comes areound..

Years ago back in Saskabush. A friend and myself after a day of fishing took everything out of the boat and pulled it up on the beach for the night. Our campsite was no more than 50 feet away. After a night of more than our fair share of fluids. We awoke to a hearty breakfast to help the hangover and headed down to the boat with all our gear.

It seems that sometime in the night. A fine example of arsholeieen stole the motor right off the boat. No more than 50 feet from us the whole time. Could you have imagined if they were to get seen by a 3/4 ****ed guy with a cold beer in one hand and what the good lord gave him in the other trying to relive himself. Well in a perfect world maybe that could happen. But this my friends is no perfect world.

So some weeks go by. Myself and the same friend head out to a little gathering after a local pub closes. Somewhere in the middle of a dart game. This theft of the motor got mentioned. Īts your lucky day" This guy says to my friend. I swear to god thats what he said. We went with this fine young lad to his shed in the back yard. Along the way he is telling us how he got it because some "friend" owed him some money.

When this guy opened the shed. My friend very quietly handed this fella his drink. He opened the cover on the motor and there inside right where my friend had etched his name on the motor just for cases like this, was you guessed it.. His personal information. The jack asses never even opened the motor never bothered to even look at the thing. So I took my friends drink from this fella. And for fear of prosecution I will leave the rest up to your own imagination.

I guess you could say it really was my friends lucky day, It sure was not for the guy who stole his motor. So there is hope that every once in a while someone gets theres. Maybe yours will as well.. Cheers

I don't get it? A guy says he has your buddy's motor and explains how he acquired it (some guy gave it to him cause he owed money) And then he got beat up for giving your friend his motor back...that HE didn't steal??
