Cheap Teslong Borescope WOWWWW!
Bought this scope on Amazon for $50 USD. It arrived in 3 days from China and is it ever clear. Even has a focus on it. Total with shipping $77
This exceptionately clear and works on PC's and Android devices. https://www.teslong.com/catalog-c/rifle-bore-scope This is the info and reviews I gleened from this other forum. http://forum.accurateshooter.com/thr...scope.3989042/ |
Thanks for posting the info. Way cheaper than a regular bore scope and from the sounds of it works real well.

Haven't tried to see if it works in my .22 yet. Hey they never get cleaned, right. Works great in my .223, and looking to find a plastic tube to fit over it for use in a larger caliber. This keeps it centered better. One fella says he uses O-rings. Sounds like a good idea, which I have yet to try. But yes the pic is great, can be focused easily.

I ordered from this link Sat. morn ,received notification of shipping yesterday morn.,arrival date between Nov. 18 and Dec.10,checked the 5% off coupon box for $76.99 Can. total cost.
Link is now showing not available like pikergolf says, maybe out of stock? You can order directly from Teslong, order is shipped from Teslong in China either way, should be same price (aside from 5 % discount on Amazon) or just wait for them to re-stock. Can't see going wrong for that price,I have access to a $400.00 Lyman for comparison, should be interesting. I'm wondering if I'll be able to polish enough off the outside diameter of the mirror housing to fit down my .204 R barrels, also I read using O-rings to steady and keep it some what centered in larger bores helps with focus stability. We'll see in a few weeks. I'll tell you having a look down a new factory barrel and a custom hand lapped barrel is a real eye opener seeing the difference in the bores with the Lyman and you think your barrel is clean? |
Piker, yes ordered from amazon and it was shipped from China to Calgary. 3 days.

I wonder if Amazon or a Seller is waiting for new stock now. |
Mine went into the states to the DHL hub, can't remember where, then to Calgary by DHL. Not sure how it was sent from China to the States.
Tracking #'s and all. $8.30 US for shipping. |
DHL just delivered my camera, the tracking said delivery date of Nov. 18-Dec. 10. So ,nice surprise!I was in the middle of updating a 10 inch tablet I had kicking for this intended use .
I'll report back after I check it out. |
I've had a chance to check this camera out on my Desk top monitor and a 10" Acer Notebook for comparison, both images were very clear with my desk top having excellent image quality.
I used a new unfired Savage 6.5 for testing that I had cleaned previous, the factory gunk in there was significant, bore looked clean and shiney with the flash light..so I thought. Also a Rem.700 6.5 barrel with 15 rounds through it since last cleaning.120 rounds total. Long story short, this cam shows copper, carbon fouling easily, shows chamber reamer and barrel bore chatter marks clearly, even on my lower resolution Notebook screen. The difference between a factory bore and a hand lapped custom barrel is an eye opener, but the factory rifle still shoots great!Hand lapped single point cut barrels are smooooth.LOL Along with general uses I specifically wanted this to check for the carbon donut ring that can form between the case neck and chamber end,my chamber length inserts tell me that most book max trim specs for cases still leave lots of room for that donut to form.A fired case chambered then viewed on screen will tell how much of a gap there is or isn't. This mostly applies to my high round count target rifles, hunting rifles aren't a concern in this regard. Can't comment on Cell phones ,but my devices were basically plug and play with the already loaded Webcam software on both. Anyway, worth the $77.00 for sure IMHO |
Dlab, just to be on the safe side I hang mine straight up and down so it doesn't kink. Heard they had troubles coiling it up into too small a coil. It apparently broke some wires. I just hang mine straight now. Getting old so it's not the only thing that just hangs straight down.

Unfortunately
Since I first read this post Amazon US continues to say they do not have a vendor that can supply my location in Calgary. Seems like you guys did well on a limited time offer before the door slammed closed.

Same price ordering direct, aside from the 5% off coupon offered on Amazon. Shipping is a bit more also $10.00 USD ,so $60.00 USD total about $81.00 CDN. |
thanks
order direct seemed to go through. Oddly enough expected delivery is only 3 days!!

Thanks for the information, looks great for the cost.
WWBirds - I’ve ordered quite a bit from amazon, and was getting that “ cannot be shipped to your location “ message consistently. Here’s how I fixed it. I started using my Post Offices Street address, then my box number, haven’t had a single issue since. Hopefully this helps someone. Ken |
I just got mine, color me impressed.
|
So where are the screenshots to show us how it looks?

It appears the new ad has changed prices and removed the 5% discount offer.
Previous ad was $49.99 with $8.00 shipping, showing the 5% directly under the selling price. |

In addition to what Dlab said about YouTube; If you look at the Amazon ad for this there are a whole bunch of owner submitted videos under the reviews section as well.

I ordered one from China using the link above in this thread. It was shipped on the 6th if Nov, but I have yet to see to and the tracking number they gave me is useless.....It may well be sitting in customs, I have had stuff sit there for almost 2 months before they finally got around to releasing it.
Not sure what the total cost in Canadian dollars was off Amazon....My cost from China was $81.92 Canadian all in. Jim |
Took a while to figure out, but here they are.

This rifle is very easy to clean. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...c0e2c27c_k.jpg-1-19 by Piker Golf, on Flickr Throat on the Tikka. |
I just knew you fellas would like them. I'm not into supporting Chinese made, would rather buy North American. But I could buy 6 of these Teslong as opposed to one of the American borescopes.
Didn't even use their software, just Win 10's built in Camera software and up and running in minutes. Loose the focus mirror on the thing and you can replace it with 3 for $15.00. Not getting hosed for anything. |

Thanks for posting, it is what got me checking them out. |
Your're welcome Dean. Yes everyone can afford a borescope now. Next threads will be, how to get carbon, copper or lead out. Might have opened up a can of worms here. Gee I thought my barrel was clean. :thinking-006:

Got mine today
have to say I am pretty impressed. didnt know I needed a borescope until today. had always relied on looking down bore with bore light and if things looked shiny and crisp rifling I was happy. did that with a 308 a week or so ago before buying and it looked good.
Borescope today confirmed very crisp rifling but also see a couple spots of surface rust which will be gone with a cleaning and a couple rounds down the tube this week. Sent a picture of rifling to a good friend in USA and he will be ordering today as well. thanks for the new toy!! |
