The timing is very good for this type of thing. Winter blahs have started to set in. Good timing to get out and see people and tell some "fish stories".

Could be me but I'm not seeing this seminar on that eventbrite site

The one Saturday this month that I have something to do other than fish.
Does anyone know if they run these seminars more than once? BW |
Northern Lights Fly Fishers runs a full day fly fishing seminar every year in January. Too expensive to do it more often. However, it also offers Weds evening sessions on various fishing or fly tying topics at Queen Mary Park Community Hall, Edmonton, through most of the year. No charge to come to the Weds. sessions although to vote on expenditures etc. you need to join Trout Unlimited Canada ($40/yr). Check out the club's website www.nlft.org
There's also fly fishing courses for beginners in April and May including casting instruction for a small fee, some fishing trips, volunteer work on some conservation projects and opportunity to help teach kids to tie a fly. |
