Fake News Commisions a Handgun Poll

https://www.ctvnews.ca/canada/handgu...rvey-1.4077763

I'd like to know the "random" demographic and which urban center out East that this happened in......

In any event, dig in; Liberal voters, Trugrope, and his ilk are on the offence and looking to disarm.

Have to chuckle.. a very bitter chuckle when I correspond with someone of the opinion that it doesn't matter who gets voted in!

Probably conducted at Ryerson University.

Probably taken at any urban center east of Manitoba, or perhaps Vancouver or Victoria. Gun owners tend to underestimate the depth of hysteria of anti gun sentiment and overestimate the common sense of Canadians.

Varies widely regionally. Seems the majority of Canadians know that new restrictive laws that target gun owners aren't the answer.

Yet, too large a percentage, including gun owners fall for some "common sense" snake oil, that sets us up for more confiscations and prohibs.

We are also reluctant to express comments regarding 'diverse' knowledge and perceptions of new vs 'old stock' Canadians.

'Common sense' is relative, and results from training and experience.
We do not further our cause by insulting those who disagree.

IMHO, we need to communicate how our ownership and use of firearms benefits those who choose not to.

Good Luck, YMMV.

On the opposite end of spectrum, last week there was a CTV poll asking if respondents were in favour or opposed to a ban on handguns and assault rifles.....”It came back over 90% opposed to any such ban.
I can only assume that the poll went viral on gun/hunting sites and was summarily hijacked by pro-gun voters because no way in hell imho does a CTV poll get that kind of response from its “usual” demographic of viewers in Canuckistan these days.
Soooooo......that said.....85% of pollsters agree that 73 out of 100 polls are correct 47% of the time.😝
