revolution armoury
 

so i am thinking about buying a 12 gauge over under and a friend recommended
revolution armoury. pretty new brand don't know much about them, anybody had any experience with them? good or bad, new 12 ga o/u is only $700
too good to be true?

Bought a single shot 20 gauge a while ago for my aunt at the farm, she enjoys it a lot. I haven’t shot it yet but when I cleaned it and pulled it apart, I didn’t see anything I didn’t like. I looks like good quality and locked up tight, I like the two tone action, wood was nice fit.

I looked at a Revolution Armory semi-auto 12 ga. at Romar in Stettler. It was new and priced @ $475. They're made in Turkey but what shotguns aren't?
I asked how reliable they are, of course the guy said he sold a few and was told they are reliable with good ammo.
I think if you needed replacement parts it would be a hassle.
I bet if they were priced higher, there'd be more interest in them.

I bought a Revolution Armoury in 12 gauge over under with a cheek height adjustment. It shoots straight and handles very nice. I have had troubles with the lower barrel not striking the primer hard enough on a few rounds of Winchester. I’ve had it looked at a couple times now by a gun smith and the first time there was a screw that had backed out but after a few boxes of shells it started again so gun smith tore apart and all looks good. Also he can not get it to miss fire. Sometimes if you recycle that shell it will go off but some times no. But other guns will fire the round. The warranty is I believe 5 years parts and labour and if not working within the first two years they will replace it. I take it in tomorrow and the store is sending it back. I guess we will see how good this warranty really is.

From what I have seen of the cheap Turkish made shotguns from running a skeet field, it is too good to be true. Some actually function okay for a while, but most have issues as soon as they get some volume of shots through them. The metals are usually sub standard, and the fit and finish of the mechanism is usually sub standard as well. If you are going to shoot a few hundred rounds per year, they may go a few years without issues, but if you are going to shoot them a fair bit, they typically have issues. And if you decide to sell them, the resale is very poor, whereas if you purchase a used Browning, Beretta, or Winchester etc, you can usually get almost all of your money back .

I used to work part time in a gun store. They sell a lot of R/A, and they send a lot of them for warranty. Same as vortex optics. Personnally I prefer to don't need the use of a warranty than having a great warranty. I wouldn't buy one.
