Does facebook alows selling for firearms

I am new to marketplace in facebook and I see lots of stuff for sale.

Are firearms allowed for sale in facebook?

Thanks

Capt. awesome 01-19-2019 04:33 PM

It does not. I cant even sell spent casings on Facebook

Scottmisfits 01-19-2019 04:34 PM

No. Facebook doesn’t allow selling firearms. They are even shutting down firearms groups that allow selling, deleting people’s ads for bows that they have sale, etc.

Big Red 250 01-19-2019 04:50 PM

On a couple of hunting groups I belong to their listed as " 223 stapler for sale" and ads like so.

Number of sites have migrated to MeWe and recommend people post their sales stuff that FB won't accept on there. As to Cdn sites on there? haven't explored it.

Www.townpost.ca is about the only selling place I've seen that has firearm sale ads. It's Alberta only though.

Actually it also posts gun in BC and Sask. Near the top right hand side.

You gotta find the "outdoor eggos" and "306 breakfast club" to buy and sell boom sticks. They do raffles though, I got a wicked mint VXR 4-12x40 CDS with leupold alumina covers for $40 lol. Great for selling, not as good for buying. You'll get your asking price no problem but guys buying spots are playing the odds.

You’re not even allowed to talk about selling firearms on Facebook. I believe it was detected and re evaluated by computers because it happened over New Year’s Eve/ new Year’s day.

You gotta join one of the raffle groups. I see guns and scopes and bows being raffled off every day. Sure it's a raffle but I bet you could just offer to buy it outright too.

Used to be some good gun trading, buy/sell and auction pages on Facebook. I was part of a couple and bought some things over the years. They were closed down about 5 years ago by Facebook.

Unfortunately no, I need to get my posts up enough on here

Found one Cdn site on MeWe so far;

What's the group called? It keeps coming up with an error.

I will stick to outdoorsman and gun nutz for my buying and selling. Townpost sketches me out in so many ways. A trader rating system helps so much with buyer confidence and helps keep the scammers at Bay.

crosman177 02-05-2019 08:32 AM

Facebook is lame. I’ve never had it, and never will.

Cgn, outdoorsman are my trusted sites. gunpost and townpost if it’s face to face. And of course nothing beats a good old gunshow handshake.

Canadian gun parts and gunsmithing tools

and just spotted one other;

Hunting gear classifieds

Don't know if any are worth spit, from FB or MeWe. But, they are possibly something to look at.

This one is bullet casting and reloading---PC Free

Why hunters still use FB and bring in ad revenue for FB when they don't support our hobby is beyond me.

I run third party adblockers so they won't get a dime from me! :sHa_shakeshout:

32-40win 02-06-2019 03:59 AM

Between U-block and Ghostery, ads on any site are not an issue, except some that won't let you see what is on there, because you have them. Which usually aren't worth looking at anyway.

Facebook does not allow any form of sales of firearms. I have seen many firearms related groups but none of them sales firearms.

West O'5 02-07-2019 06:27 AM

FB banned the sale of firearms a couple years(?) ago,and more recently reloading components, effectively shutting down dozens(thousands?) of buy & sell groups.
Most Outdoors FB groups strictly forbid any attempts to sell guns because the FB Gun Nazis will shut down the entire group.....but I’ve seen people circumvent the rules on some sites posting a pic of a gun and “Looking to get 800 likes” or similar.
FB admin are a bunch of leftard wackos, they make me sick.
The censorship on FB blatantly favouring left wing ideologies and deleting any common sense right wing ideas has gotten out of hand lately.
Zuckerpuke is an Obama puppet and a far left weenie super nerd.

Ive bought and sold on TownPost and gunpost, lots of former FB groups have moved to MeWe

FWIW ,in response to a previous post,TownPost.ca is NOT Alberta only,it’s Canada wide......but no trader rating on TownPost so buyer beware,I’ve only done F2F deals.

Theohemmaway 02-17-2019 01:31 PM

Town post is a good one, an yet to see a scammer unlike Kijiji..
