Anybody been fishing around campbell river lately?

Hello all, headed to the island for some salmon fishing, just curious if anyone has any recent reports on how the fishing is around that area?

cheers

A family friend runs charters out of comox.....looks like the last couple weeks have been a bit hit and miss but when they are on the fish have been big and plentiful. Lots of 20+lb springs and some 30+ fish days.
Check out island pursuit sportfishing on Facebook.

My buddy lives there, says fishing has been steady to good with some very good days. Good size springs coming in. Pinks are into the river pretty solid now so if you flyfish it would be a good time.

I got back a week ago. Tons of Springs with a 22 pounder being the biggest. I grew up there so still get back to fish with family and friends a few times a summer. I fished 6 days and it was on fire.

The buddy I fished with got a 36 pound Tyee with his dad a few days after I left. They were north of town through the narrows though.

There have been a few lulls from what I understand but it’s still as good of fishing as it’s ever been.

Zero Coho though...
