My first miniature Derringer

Isn`t it cool to have something that others do not have?) I always tried to surround myself with just such thing:) My new hobby is making such things. So i have created the smallest acting gun in the world) It`s a golden shooting handgun Derringer with weight only 2.3 grams. The handle is made of Siberian mammoth bones. The gun`s caliber: 1 mm.

I have worked on it for a long time, so i need your opinions about my efforts:)

Cool!
How stout is the recoil??

Interesting project. Intricate work. Although it could be pretty lively, I would start load development using one kernel of H110.

I was just thinking that. How do you load for such a thing?

I hate to disappoint you but it has been done. If you do a search on Google there are a lot of different styles. Don't let this discourage you though - I wish I had the skill to do it.

First.... nice job, nice to see creativity

Second....... have to ask the proverbial AO question... is the caliber big enough to take down an Elk?:fighting0074:

Is it rifled?

MiniFireArms 11-14-2017 12:29 AM

Oh, thanks for your comments) the recoil is certanly not very big because it is very small) Hmm, it is interesting idea, i think that my gun can cope with the elk) Do you want to try it?:)

Newview01 11-14-2017 02:51 AM

I hope it's legal and registered.

MiniFireArms 11-14-2017 03:49 AM

This gun has very small caliber, so it is not powerful and it do not need any permissions)

Neet little project you have there. Looks a little to meticulous for myself, cool none the less however.

Okay, maybe it can take an Elk but how about a moose?
