$1500 spotting scope
If you guys had about $1500 to spend on a spotting scope, what would you guys reccomend? I would like an angled one.

Visions has the Nikon Monarch 82ed on sale until tomorrow for under $1600. That is a discount of over $700. You will have a hard time finding a scope as good for the money.

I’d look at the vortex line

brand new vortex razor 13-39x56. Light enough that you'll actually pack it around and use it. Good glass. Pair it with a digiscoping tool and you won't need more magnification.

I have a Vortex RAZOR Top of the line 27-60-85 used once on a sheep hunt
Like new in box. $1600. Pincher Creek area. |
Take a hard look at Kowa. Best kept secret in spotters and binos. Your budget will allow for a new TSN-553 15-45X, if compact and lightweight is a priority. You could look for a gently used TSN-883, which is full sized and heavy, but you can't buy a better spotter. Or you could look for a used TSN-773. It's the sweet spot between the other two mentioned. All have spectacular optics, second to none, at a price point 1/2 that of the 3 "alpha" brands.

gently used TSN883 for anywhere near $1500. I paid $3200 for mine about 10 years ago, and they have gone up to around $5000 now. |
For the budget being discussed I would give the Trac Toric spotters a long look. A little more than the budget but they are highly reviewed.

now. I was actually very surprised to see new ones selling at around $5000 now. |
Burris Veracity
The Burris Veracity looks interesting, if you have a range finder and hunt on the prairies where long shots are the norm.

Google backwoods pursuit spotting scope review. Be prepared to be surprised by Athlon and Maven which will easily fit your budget.
