Big Water= Big Fish
With 4 inches of rain in the south the rivers are flowing big. Expected to be at least 300m3 a second. I have found that the bigger the water the bigger the sturgeon. A good example of that is Wayne Cristie's 6 footer. Caught 3 days after the big flood in 2013. I think it triggers the big ones to spawn. It should be a couple weeks of good fishing. The island at the forks will be flooded over when it gets 300m3.

Yup. I remember when it was flooding in 2005 guys were catching them all over Lethbridge

super slow day for me, buddy did catch one just before we left. Forks channel was ok but the river is still rising. We saw lots jump including one pretty much into the guides boat but they were looking the other way it was pretty great :) any dirt trail is pure grease, cant even get to my 2 favourite spots til the trail dries up some.

Be carful out there this weekend. 403 m3 in Lethbidge tonight. It will be at the forks by Sat. The island will be getting flooded. 288m3 at the mouth of the Oldman Friday night.
