Cold feet while ice fishing?
Here's a new toy for your toes. Who would have thunk you could control how warm your feet are with your phone.

I got the Thermacall ones from Cabellas and very happy with them. They were $100 on sale. They are quite thick though so these ones look a little better. Didnt notice a price on these.

Got the thermacell wireless for the hubs and he's happy with them. Their highest end model (green ones) will hold a charge for 8 hours

I spent $300 on some high end boots. Baffin Apex. Got a deal with family/friend pricing from Cabelas. Feet never get cold in those. Only wear a single pair of socks in them. I'm notoriously cold too so I need to be warm and comfy lol! If you're feet get cold it's game over out on the ice, can't have a good time when that happens.

I own a pair of Baffin Icefields rated to -100C, had them for 6 years and have yet to get cold feet. Bought the thermacells for hunting. I will be getting him a nice pair of boots to go with them for next years hunting

Find a piece of rubber or foam 1ft x 1ft just big enough for your feet to rest on while in the tent. Isolates your feet from the snow/ice which is the key. Makes a big difference and is quite cost effective. You will notice the better made boots always have more meat from the bottom of your feet to the bottom of the sole.

Sprinkle a little cayenne pepper in your socks before putting them on

I need new boots. Thinking of the muck artic.

I just bought the best boots I have ever owned...army surplus $45.
They have a fiberglass mesh insole then a felt insole on top of that then felt liners. My feet are always cold except when I wear these boots...and did I mention $45!! |
Wear a good hat
