Poll: How many Pope & Young Animals have you harvested?

I have taken seven, but have only entered five of them into the book.

lilsundance 05-17-2008 09:23 PM

doesn't matter to me.

It doesn't matter to me if I have or haven't take one. I don't eat the antlers.
But I said none as I have never measured any.

Bushmaster 05-17-2008 09:27 PM

Three black bears and an antelope...

Islander 05-18-2008 09:11 PM

None yet. Moving back to Vancouver Island in September, so ask me again after next spring bear season:D

Hoochie Papa 05-18-2008 09:31 PM

Zero-zilch-nada. I CHOOSE not to shoot any trophy class animals. I feel that judging an animal.................. aaahhhhhhh..... screw it. I just plain suck.

Hopefully have my first book deer this fall. Got a sweet stand with my name on it.

frenchwhitey 05-18-2008 10:05 PM

none so far. Hopefully have a cougar come winter. Can't wait.

Fletch10 05-18-2008 11:40 PM

One book muley. 182 4/8. Biggest deer to date and shot with the bow to boot it was awesome!

Prdtrgttr 05-20-2008 06:01 PM

3 Whitetails, 1 Mule deer, 1 Antelope, Shot a few bears, but am still waiting for the big one.

packhuntr 05-20-2008 07:48 PM

2 Mules. One in at 165 gross, net 149. Another at a hair better than 145. One missed P&Y w/t:mad2: no time to range, estimated short and gave him a haircut.... Bears handed me my azz again, maybe a P&Y next year.

muzzy 05-20-2008 07:52 PM

5 bear and two caribou, not all entered though

16 animals with bow in 17 years bowhunting (early years were slow:lol: )
3 went P&Y
2001Mule deer 146 3/8
2001Pronghorn 71 0/8
2005Whitetail 163 6/8 NT
1 B&C (not official as it stills need to meet the 60 day drying period)
2007Cougar 15 6/16

Bears are giving me a hard time. Last years went 17 6/16 so I'm getting closer!

gonefishin 05-22-2008 09:54 AM

My first critter with the bow when I was 16 was a WT that went 140 3/8... haven't taken anything with antlers since.

nekred 05-22-2008 10:29 AM

2 white tails
2 mule deer
6 Black bears

Stinky Coyote 05-27-2008 07:08 AM

one whitetail and 3 muley's...

oh, does this mean i should have entered them to post?...

my apologies if so, all my muleys gross mid 160's and net worst case 10" less and my whitetail gross's 143 and forget its net but it would be enough...

i guess i'll call mine pope 'class' then?:ashamed:

if i get a booner i'll put it in the book......promise:innocent:

JohninAB 05-27-2008 09:18 AM

elk scores just shy of 290. Do not chase deer with a bow so nothing there. Moose have all been the tender eating size of small bulls so nothing there to report. No interest in hunting bears.

I am on page with Stinky, Ive killed P&Y animals, but I only "officially" entered my first. I enter them in the Alberta book though, same minimum as P&Y, and they have to be scored after 60 days, etc... Same rules, fair chase afidavit, etc as P&Y.
