Great Falls undercover oops!

First let me say hello to the forum, good to finally join, I will finally get to see all the pictures. This might be worthy of a first post.
This post is related to one runcle of the bailey issued a few days ago about the Great Falls gun show in late September. Involving the RCMP and ATF and not informing everyone of their activities. Attached is a police report of what transpired that day. http://www.outdoorsmenforum.ca/attac...1&d=1664930352 Hope that worked. |
So a Canadian cop went across the border without authorization to conduct and investigation? That’s whacked.

Great Falls undercover oops!
It has occurred in the past when returning to Canada from the U.S. when crossing at Coutts/Sweetgrass that you will be questioned leaving the U.S. at that outbuilding that almost never gets used, but has been manned for amber alerts, escaped criminals, and coincidentally when a gun show is in Great Falls.

It was a combine RCMP and ATF undercover operation. They didn’t tell Montana police so the Montana police asked them to stop and they did. Not really a story. |
royal gestapo officers and their cronies going way offside? No, that never happens
Sheriff should have put them in front of a pro 2A judge. Now that would have been worth watching. FYI, they have cameras at cabelas in Kalispell. If you stop there with a Canadian plate, they stop and search you at the border. You know, for safety  |

City police, "loaned" to the RCMP, working with the ATF, working in a foreign nation, and all three agency's "forgot" to inform LEO in said foreign nation? Just randomly speculating, watching people at shows. I feel Canadian police watching Canadian citizens in a foreign country is quite similar to Chinese police watching Chinese citizens in a foreign country, and feel both are news worthy. |

For instance… is it the RCMP’s responsibility to inform all levels of enforcement in the US or is it the lead US agency… in this case the ATF. Is this really that serious or just exaggeration of a story to sell news to the frothing masses. Not saying you are wrong… But with what we know it sounds like nothing more than an administrative ops on the part of the ATF… or someone in Montana forgot to read an email memo? |

Wut in he!! are they doing in Great Falls? There's not a lot of roads northbound & not many border crossings. This cloak & dagger stuff really did the deed on the Wortman file, they KNEW what he had & where it came from.

When did Kalispell get a Cabelas?

And yes, I have a waiver for crossing into the US. |
In the US un armed and dealing with big bad gun smugglers ? Even the chick working at the gun show pegged the under cover cop as a potential thief and called the local sharks. What a joke.

There’s not enough information here to make any determination about what the Canadian officer and ATF were looking for. |

If they somehow do catch a firearms smuggler, I just hope that they are charged in the USA, and go to court there, because in Canada, they will just get a slap on the wrist , and be right back smuggling in short order.
