Backyard target

What is a good type backyard target that won't break the bank. As I'm needing a new one and just want to get one that will last...for a while.

RhinoBlock.

Portable or permanent?

Ramsniper 01-21-2018 02:00 PM

Portable target is what I’m looking for.

Rinehart is good but pricey. Look for a Delta McKenzie. If your close to the box stores they normally have their house brands. They are cheap and cheap. I do think the best compromise between cost and durability is the Delta McKenzie.

I built a cork board target for around 60 bucks works great weights about 80 pounds movable and when boards are worn out just move them around or cut new strips

Pictures or a link to instructions? I can shoot 18 yards max in my basement but normall I can get about 10 yards. Having a good solid target that doesn’t move would be great.

target

mine is 2'x4' 2"x6" frame with 1" x 6" strips of Styrofoam with 2 threaded rods down through them to compress the sheets

Slicktricker 01-21-2018 04:20 PM

Mine almost sounds same as above post I used 2x4s square 4 feet by 4 feet and built a cradle for boards to sit in and hide the rods that hold the boards in place and to tighten it up. Il take detailed photos next time I'm at farm and send them to you. It was super cheap and have thousands if arrows into it

Sounds like something I’d be interested in building, could you post some pictures?

I shoot a Bulldog Doghouse FP as well. They are great targets and have a lifetime warranty. Stops all arrows dead and super easy to pull out.
