Snorkel Fishing Underwater Trolling for Trout

https://youtu.be/vkP0uzreFU8

Haven't posted a video in a while so thought you guys might find this one interesting from this spring. Finally getting around to doing some editing after a busy summer.

After a hot day of working my brother and I thought the best way to cool down would be a little competition in the backyard pond. Our first time Snorkel Fishing. The idea is we would troll around with a rod and reel and propel ourselves with our flippers. We were using Thomas Lures for the challenge. Myself a spinner and my brother one of the gold and silver Colorado spoons. We were actually surprised how well this worked and it was a lot of fun. Well go ahead and watch and see what happens!!!

Its always fun till he wraps around you and sinks the hook in you. Now you have to remove the fish and yourself from the hook. And for some reason the fish wants to be first.

Lol. I have thought about doing something similar with my drysuit and a life jacket. After seeing this I might just have to give it a go. I imagine trying to fly fish might be a bit tricky though.

With a life jacket on it would be no problem at all. After it worked so well in the pond I thought I should give this a try on other lakes as well sometime. I may do the same If I had time next spring.

Looks like fun and makes me already miss summer....would be interesting to see you try that with just floating face down and jigging.
