Jacketed subsonic?

I have done reduced loads or subsonic for small game while hunting moose and elk.
Just easier to carry one firearm.
I always used my cast bullets but have recently changed calibers and found myself with casts bullets.
I have a ton of jacketed...... has anyone here used jacket for subsonic here?
Any precautions? I would assume it's fine but thought I'd ask some freeloaders first.
Thanks 360hunt

I have used jacketed bullets for subsonic rounds in multiple cartridges. They work fine

In general there is no difference between Jacketed and cast but like the cast ones make sure the bullet has enough speed not to stick in the barrel. That is the only real issue with any subsonic load, other than tuning to get an accurate result. Suggest you try Trail Boss if you aren't using it already, makes great sub loads in all cartridges and you can't get enough in any bottleneck rifle case to cause a dangerous pressure level.

What cartridge are you loading? My biggest concern would be mixing up which is subsonic and which is full power...

use

A black Sharpie to color the bullet.I use unsized 90gr cast Lee Tokarev pistol bullets in a CZ527 7.62x39 for grouse while deer hunting with a few grains of Bullseye.Switching to Unique they work fine in the 30-30,.308 ,30-06 and .303 British.

Awesome! Is that the 311-93-1R bullet? Mold number 90300? I've got a 311-100-2R, mold number 90301 that I bought to do the same thing in 30-30, 7.62x54R, 303 British, etc.
May I ask how much Unique you're using? You can pm if you don't like putting load data on the internet.

*edit*
I looked it up and realised the bullet in question is a TL-314-90-SWC, mold number 90311. My apologies.
