Sask big game hunting with decoy?
My Sask buddy wants to borrow my Montana moose decoy for his hunt coming up in October. Just browsing the regs now, anyone know the legality of this to save a fella some time?

Can't help you now days but I used to use decoys in Saskatchewan

There is no law against lending someone your decoy for sure!:) Now whether a "Montana" decoy is okay in Saskatchewan I am not entirely sure, though regular decoys are fine, hell they can even bait deer there.

I currently live in sask I know a lot of guys use them in archery elk season I’m out by porcupine plains if that helps

Yeah, I couldn't find it anywhere in the regs either. Thanks for all the replies fellars.

I also have a Sask. question ,as my sister owns land north of Northbattleford
Can we as an Albertan go hunting anywhere big game is Sask? A few years ago the answer was no . They only had a few zones you could hunt in . |
Go online - read the regs.
Non- resident Canadians had to apply in the draw for Whitetail tags. Too late this year. |
No you can't, it's a draw and your draw tag is only good for the zone in which you were drawn. No different than getting drawn in Alberta. If your sister is a Sask resident you have an advantage as you are given priority in the draw because of the family first program. Pretty sure it is for whitetails only

But I'm pretty sure you can apply in basically any zone tho - if that's what you were asking
