Elbow river winter fishing
 
I've never even fished the section from the res. to the bow in summer but what's it like I. Winter. Just saw I. The regs it's open. I'm sure someone will say the bow is better and I'm sure that's true so leave the bow out of this thread. I'm just curious about the elbow and what people think of it in winter

They be there but needs to be fished in the off hours due to the dog walkers etc..... and of course the "yellow dingy hatch" in the warmer time of the year:thinking-006:

I have electrofished from the dam to the Bow. Not a ton of fish. Very localized. Some may migrate to the Bow for the winter. Lots of dead stretches

It mostly depends on water levels. Low water, low numbers.
