Big chief lake & Behan
 

Anyone been into big chief or behan in the last few years? I’m wondering if a guy can drive right into Big Chief like the old days through Philomena. Please PM me if you’d like, I know how much people like it when we post spots online.

Since the logging I don’t believe you can cross the creek at Philomena any more I was hunting in there last year and even the quad was tough. Behan can’t comment but Clyde and Waiu are dead I was in there today with the camera and not a fish.

Thanks! I tried Clyde earlier this year and caught a really small pike but no perch. I tried the middle of the lake and it was near 20ft deep so I can’t see it winterkilling? It’s a good sized lake and must have flow through it all winter long

I stopped in and fished Behan for an hour about 6 years ago while on a float plane trip with a relative. Not a bite. He said it used to be awesome to fish twenty years ago. It might take a really high run off spring for fish to get back in there if it did winterkill.
