Refurbishing an old .30/30

Hello friends,

My grandfather's old Winchester 94 has made its way to my gun safe, and I was looking at getting it fixed up and ready to use again. The stock is pretty well dried out and wiggles around a lot, otherwise it seems in good shape! Would anyone be able to ballpark just how much it would be to have somebody replace the wood? It's a pre '64 if that makes any difference. Many thanks in advance!

Is there a chance soaking the wood in warm linseed oil that has been thinned out a bit ,for a day or three might swell the wood enough to make it fit a little better?

What about buying an old one without any sentimental value and re finishing that stock?
