Propane tank wood stove
This year I want to try a wood stove in my ice shack so I converted an old propane tank. My question is what is best for chimney? Single wall? Insulated? What size? I was thinking 4” but not sure! Any help please!

Don't use galvanized vent. If the pipe gets hot enough to burn the zinc, that is bad news for your health.
Go to a home hardware and get some black single walled stove pipe. I think you'd probably want 5 or 6 inch at least, but that is just a guess based on what size vent you usually see on a wood stove. |
Ya I knew about the galvanized. Very toxic. Thanks.

4 in should be just fine on a 20lb tank.

Cut a 4” hole for the chimney and a 2”” air intake 3/4 way down on one side. Either need a larger chimney or a larger air intake. As soon as I close the door it snuffs the fire

did you put a damper in the chimney?

No chimney purchased yet. Just the hole in the top of the tank
