Trapping on another’s trap line

Wondering what the charge is for trapping on someone else’s trapline without permission???

why not just see if they would take you as a partner.If not respect that and leave it be.If someone is on your line contact F&G and let them deal with it

Uhhhhh that's not suspicious at all.

Story of Mad trapper years ago started with trapping another line, he payed with his life after Mounties finally caught him some 40 + days later going over mountain range in middle of winter.
Most old trappers in BC said never had problem with someone trapping or stealing any of their fur, most never made out out of the bush.

Are you having troubles or are you thinking of being a scum bag. I would treat it like if some guy tried to sleep with my wife. It wouldn’t end good. As for a fine you would probably get charged with interfering with a legal hunt. It’s a automatic court date. The officers that I have been working with dealing with the anti trapping group said each would get a ten thousand dollar fine. Join a local an show some interest, there are lots of older trappers that wouldn’t mind help that’s how I got started.

Surprising little happened in the one case I know of. The criminal was the neighbor RFMA holder and once he was caught and proved to be in the wrong, he demanded that the trapline boundaries be changed to include the territory that he was illegally trapping! F&W said go and sin no more as punishment.

Perhaps that is a navigable waterway.
You would be surprised the small creeks that fall into that designation.
If a canoe has or can go up it at high water or it facilitated travel in the past then it might be that.
If it falls under that designation then it is crown land.

If it's the county then I would think that a call to the county office would get you the answer faster and more concise then the general opinion on a forum post, just saying
