I think I stole an Champion !!
I think I stole a 2000 watt Champion inverter from Canadian Tire last night!!
I was in the store to pick up a few things, walked thru power tool section where the generators are and kind of looked at the 2000 watt Champion generator it had a sale tag on them for $599.00 regular $799 thought Hmm not bad, then I ended up in a Clearance section where they had all sorts of thing on clearance. including about 7 2000 watt Champion generators for a whopping price of $300, the only reason it was on sale is that the box was damaged. So I loaded it up and took it home, opened up the box and no damage to the unit . I love deals like that. |
Start the car! Start the car!

Last set of days off Canadian tire had those metal racks on sale. Reg 269 on sale for 80. I bought 10 of em.

All that does is showing you the markup on their stuff as they are not in bussines to give it away, Just my thought's.

2000 Watt Champion Inverters
My brother has owned one of those 2000 watt Champion inverters for about 5 years now.
I think he got it from Costco. It still works great, and no problems. |
Ours is great but LOUD!!!

I have one for the camper. Works great, and u certainly got a great deal on it. I don't think it is much louder than the Honda as the db rating is 50 vs 60 for the champion.

the 3000 on sale for 379
check the flyer the 3000 on sale for 80 more, makes me wonder how much the mark up is on these things as I'm sure they still make money on sale clearance items:scared0018:

It is CT if it isn’t 70% off sticker then I am not buying it.
Easiest way to know what kind of deal u are getting in clearance is to ask them for the lowest sale price of a new one. That clearance deal might not be such a deal after all. Most places don’t have 70% off sales all the time but CT does so you know how much their stuff is marked up in the first place!!! I am sure we have all seen the $369 tool set on sale for $90! |

Yes that 1db makes a huge difference. For $1200 more. Honda makes a great generator but theres a big difference in cost. I know lots of folks with these little champions and they love them. reliable and quiet. Buy 2 along with the parallel connection cable for double the power and still be lower cost than the Honda. |

3000 inverter? Haven't looked but I'm sceptical on one of those units being $1,000.00 off regular. |
only 3 day sale

Not the inverter model. Regular generator. Nice deal on a good generator but inverters are bigger coin. |
A Champion hey, some might suggest you overpaid....
|
I swear guys don't know the difference between inverter gens and construction site gens lol...

Champion Inverters are real quiet not like their open ones. I have 2 inverters and 1 open noisy one.

It is a good deal. I have 2 inverters and 1 of the open Champion gennys. I paid 399 on sales at Costco several years ago. They are nice and quiet and you can tie 2 together too. My open model I bought in the U.S. before they were available in Canada. Noisy but pumps out 4k watts and powers everything if camping in the back bush.

Can happen with any companies product but you're in the minority here. I've got several friends with the Champion inverter and other than the prestige factor none of then can justify the cost of the Honda. |

However, I am sure Champion inverters are not +10db over Honda (I do own Honda 2000w). $300 for Champion inverter is still a steal regardless |
