Cancel CV Derby
 

How about canceling the C Valley derby till next weekend for possible warmer weather and better road conditions , l for one have a motel in place that l am going to cancel cause l wont be going , was out there last sat , it was minus 7 with a 45 mph wind , very miserable , and roads were a nightmare on the way home with drifting snow freezing on the hi-way , this weekend calls for minus 15 or 16 with snow, and at crawling valley you can be sure the wind will be with it , so l,m not going.
l,m sure a better turnout would prevail , just a suggestion , if possible.

Forcast isnt calling for strong winds, and this is still winter, of course its going to be cold! if everyone cancels my winnings wont cover the gasoline!!!!

if the turnout is small because of bad hiway and cold conditions , your winnings wiill be small regardless if its cancelled , why not wait till next weekend when it could be double digits , and everyone is comfy , dont need fish so bad to sit on the ice for 2 days in -16 with a breeze , always a wind out there , you know that Wayne.

Long range forecast for the next 3 months is colder than normal, 500 people went to Newell and it was -27, I don't think a little cold weather is going to slow the diehards

correct me if i'm wrong fellas. there's 2' of ice on the lakes and its march in alberta right? this is an ICE fishing derby. its winter time. gear up and go catch some fish.

I'd go for it if I could get there and I wasn't busy this weekend..lol to hell with it, this is Alberta...

so they should cancel work as well due to the cold.....with pay of course

Didn't we used to all scream whiner in the Gretzky days at the dome. I think I am starting to hear it now. Come on guys it is winter and also don't forget Cv is fishing days are almost done for the year. Would be pretty hard to rebook this late in the year. It is also Alberta and still a ways away and who knows what the weather is going to do. Dress warm, drive careful and as we used to say back in my sports days "suck it up"...............
