Tuning a Flintlock is a pretty specialized bit of knowledge. I don't know of anyone in Calgary with the experience to do that kind of work The vast majority of tuning one lles in getting the lock set up correctly, assuming the flash hole is the correct size and located in the right spot. If it is the lock that needs work I would take it off and ship it to the states to one of the top lockmaker/tuners like Jim Chambers or L&R Locks. Flintlock parts are not subject to ITAR so you can ship them, and even the whole gun back and forth to the states with no problem. You can also get replacement custom made locks pretty cheap so that is another option to check out.

what is wrong with it ? Are you using real flint or those sawed rocks ? Real black powder, or a sub like 777 , pyrodex, ??

Tuning seems to be the fashionable thing to have done to a flinter, however when completed , they are usually just cleaned and oiled by an "expert" for considerable cash .

What make is it ?

Check out this site. A lot of great info on Flintlocks and how to get them to shoot well. It will tell you how to optimise what you have using real BP, proper flints and the like. After you do the basics you may or may not still need to tune the lock and rifle.
