We stayed at the Melia last year and ran into a fishing fanatic. He would take a taxi to the flats a few km away from the resort and walk and wade all day long. I am sure if you inquire at your resort about flats fishing areas, they will help you out. Bring your bonefish gear!

Also, we did the jet boat and snorkeling tour on cayo coco and it was a blast.

Good fishing there, you should be hitting the peak bonefish season if you are going in the next few weeks. There is lots of walk and wade over at the "Shipwreck" flats, but I would hire a guide named Duniesky,at least for 1 day, all the resorts will know how to get a hold of him. He is the flyfishing guru around there.

Posted these before, but this is what it look like on the flats
