Gun range at Rocky Mountain House

Hello everyone! I just stumbled across this great site a while back and have been lurking for a while. I am going to be moving close to Rocky Mountain House for my new job. Are there any members to the Rocky gun club here? I had a look at their website and it looks like a nice range. $150 seems like a good deal for what they have, just wondering if anyone has any experience shooting there? Does it get really busy? I shoot mostly just rifle but do also have a 22 pistol.

Carl.

Just went there last week. The furthest target I ranged was under 630 yards for the rifle. They have several pistol bays that I saw. The place is pretty well kept and people there are very friendly. I'd try it out again!

Great range can be busy during summer when long range school is on. have yet to see someone on there 3D course though.

Thank you for the replies, I will be going for sure. I don't shoot too much now but would be happy if I can get a membership! They seem to have a lot of rules but that is a good thing? Safely run place

I believe range goes to 600m or 656 yards.

They have an excellent range there with a lot of fine folks. I don't think you will be disappointed.
Good luck.

Great range

Its nice, well taken care of and you can do everything from archery to long range shooting. Shot guns as well. Kust remember to check the calender before you go they shut certain ranges down for classes and competitions.

There is a 1200m range as well but believe you have to prove you can shoot it prior to getting a key to that gate
