Wow beauty, fish did you get a measurement on that baby, and did you get it in Alberta?

kinwahkly 09-27-2020 10:07 PM

Alberta yes . Over 28 inches

Adrien Schnee 09-28-2020 10:28 AM

Tremendous fish, congratulations. Rare to catch rainbows of that size, pretty exciting when it happens!

Did it take your leech while static, or were you working it on an active retrieve?

Good luck for the rest of the fall, I hope you connect with plenty more quality trout.

28 inches is a monster bow! Congrats. A great catch for sure.

On what basis, envy?

kinwahkly 09-28-2020 10:34 PM

Just for everyone s info . I made sure the fish revived before it swam away. He was over legal size so I could have harvested the fish. But released for future catches.

That’s a beauty and congrats. No doubt it will survive for future enjoyment. Good on you for the release

Nice fish for there especially ! I get why “deep” thinks he’s dead. He’s upside down with no movement

Trout tend to remain more still when they're upside down, not to mention those Moby nets tend to make them stay more still for some reason. Great fish though!

Deep 10-01-2020 07:45 PM

Yes indeed a beauty fish. I only C&R myself and its lack of any movement had me concerned- many do need be manually revived and happily swim away. Gratz...even on your own fly :)
