Not enough elevation to zero at 100?
Most likely your rings/bases are installed incorrectly. Check, fix, zero the crosshairs (elevation and windage) in the scope, then install with a level kit and torque screwdriver according to the manual (when you get it). Bore sight and shoot to zero. |
If it has a zero stop remove the elevation cap and loosen, do not remove the zero stop set screws. Are you mounting it on a 0, 10,20,30 or 40 moa rail?

#1 Before mounting I always centre Reticle for Elevation and Windage by cranking adjustment knob clockwise to the stop then counterclockwise to the stop counting numbers of clicks from one stop to the other. Then setting Reticle dead in the centre. My current scope Elevation bottomed out at 3 full turnes and 60 clicks. To set my Crosshair in centre I've bucked off 1 and 1/2 turn and 30 clicks. Same for Windage.... Now I know that Reticle is in CENTRE of adjustment. Now is time to mount on the gun. I will do this this afternoon. I am mounting on a gun that was working with old scope so all should work well as I am not changing scope rings only scope. If your scope Reticle was on end of Adjustment when you got it this could be responsible for running out of room for adjustment. (I do this for a Brand New scopes as well.) |
Nightforce
Go to Nightforceoptics.com and click on the menu tab. On the right hand side of the page you will see "Support" and just below that is the Downloads tab.
Select Downloads. The Owners Manual for your scope is available here. Good luck! |
I should read 3Blade post before posting. OOPS.

Thank you fellows , I was wondering if perhaps that was not the problem to start with as the scope was once owned . Thanks

You checked the zero stop?
