Season Goals?
 

Well everyone, 2017/18 trapping season is right around the corner now...2 months left to prep and get everything ready to go. Does anyone have any crazy goals this season? Is anyone going to trap with the lower prices on most animals? I am undecided so far on my targets for the season (other than Coyote). Lets hear it. You first!

Well I'm not sure how much I will be able to trap, but I would like to get 300
Coyotes if I can get the time. And half a dozen wolf on a couple of the new property's I got permission on.

I always have big plans, but they don't always materialize

I've ran out of wolves to kill to make it worth while from the last 2 years of hitting them hard......
Got no big plans this year with all my special draws I got for hunting and trips planned to the USA.
A lot of what I usually do depends on bait. If i don't have a decent amount of bait my numbers go way down

Wolves. Or even A wolf.
And have fun with the kids.

Getting going on a new line, hope to get 50 marten, 10 lynx, a few fisher, a wolf or 10! Excited to get the line up and operating.

goals vrs prices, well ..... 20 dogs to buy a cheap fishing boat. 30 dogs boat and new rifle .:sHa_shakeshout:snares are ready, friends contacted to save moose/deer bones, land permission now we wait.

reading some guys goals/results of 100s of coyotes and dozens of wolves i often feel a bit embarrassed with a goal of 40 coyotes and 12 marten. and maybe one, just one gullible wolf. but with full time work, family commitments, and travel time. i think that would be a great season for me. even I get half those numbers, time in the bush checking sets is better than anything else i can think of to do during winter. :sHa_shakeshout:

Going for the century mark on dogs this year!! Have come close the last 2 but this year i'm getting to 100!!
