A few from 2017 for the enjoyable reasons to have Trail Cameras up.

I've never seen so many Cougars, Grizzlies and wolves on camera as i did this year. Fun to see them all, wish there were not so many.

After the Trespassers Thread, I've received many comments about how negative the site is.

Here's one to show us all why we do it. Nothing like quality time spent outside.

Cheers all and Happy Holidays.

muzzy 12-14-2017 01:35 PM

Theres at least two spots you better have your treestands up at
Great pics

HuntingAlberta 12-14-2017 01:48 PM

Muzzy - got a few stands around. Always fun walking in the dark when you know half a dozen grizzlies & half a dozen cats are around. Get snarled at a few times each fall.

just_dave 12-14-2017 01:57 PM

Wow. Some really good ones there!

Are you happy with the Stealth cams? What models do you run. I'm going to get more cams, just looking to see what I should get.

Cheers,SS

pikeman06 12-14-2017 02:53 PM

Cool pictures thanks. Jeezus that one cat has a big saggy belly.

sage 13 12-14-2017 03:08 PM

Great pictures, like the cat pics, the one pic I think its
#5 date was 10-11-17 is that from the same camera as
the one of the 2 trespassers in your other thread.
Looks like the fox pic is from same camera as well.

HuntingAlberta 12-14-2017 03:12 PM

Sage 13 - Yes, same camera.

SS - I really like the Stealthcams. I run about 35+ of them, the G42's have never given me a problem and i get 3000-6000 pictures on a set of Amazon cheap AA batteries (48 batteries for 15 bucks) and they last over winter. They will stop working if it gets below -20 but then start working when they warm up again. This year i got over 100,000 pics with them and all seem to be good. The straps are fragile if you leave the cameras out for 2-3 years year round. Easy to setup, easy to use and decent price.

I have a couple of the newer G45 model and they don't work at all. 75% of the time they die after taking 10-20 pictures (just long enough for you to walk away and verify it's working).

Thanks for the pics and game cameras you use.

Great pictures Any idea what that fox is carrying in the first series - picture 7?

SoaringEagle 12-15-2017 06:36 PM

Great pics, thanks for sharing

Centralalbertasongdogslay 12-16-2017 09:39 PM

Looks like that fox is carrying a pine marten because of the bushy tail the tail is too long and bushy for a mink

42RSK 12-17-2017 09:35 AM
