First Bow -- Where to go in Calgary??

Hey AO,

Finally taking the leap into the bow world of hunting. Pretty excited. Saved up and ready to get into something to start me off.

Q: where is the best place in Calgary to get sized correctly and pointed in the right direction for what I need in a bow? Jim Bow's??

Thanks

If you want service there is only one shop in Calgary and like it's been said before, JimBows. They carry multiple brands, know their stuff, give you honest options and will spend time with you. That's a blessing and a curse though. Because they are so thorough, if you walk in while they are busy, you may wait around for someone to help you out. They aren't ignoring you, they are just trying to make sure that they don't do half a job with the other guy.

Another vote for Jim bows.

Giving your self a week to get ready isn't a lot of time if you haven't ever shot a bow before

There's always one in the crowd...

Thanks for the push to Jim Bows everyone else. Had a great time there today, very helpful.

How do you know he is going to hunt early season?

I'm considering getting a bow myself and hunting October.

This...

And I'll likely not hunt with it this year.
But thanks for the assumption super man. I reassure you the animals are safe.

Not saying that you shouldn't try, I go bowhunting every October, but I do find the deer hunting to be really slow. I believe they call it the October lull. Good luck this year!
