I spent the evening fishing Pond X with my Fiancee Emma. It looks like the conditions were perfect because they were biting both the fly and lure all night long!

What time of the day do you have the most success when targeting trout?

Past experience tells they will hit day or night equally as well.

Evening always seems to be the best time for me. Maybe it's just because I have a hard time waking up early enough for the morning bite thought lol!

The best times for me have been when I'm fishing company time, was waitin for a truck late this spring in the pass as we were demobilizing the site we were on, told the customer I was going to take my lunch break off site, tied into a 30" laker on a fly rod, got a video of it me in my nomex, showed the customer my " lunch break" and my helper can be heard sayin "gettin paid to fish" then he said "I haven't signed your time tickets yet", (which he did).
Best lunch break I ever, and if the meters runnin that is always the best time for me!
Time of day, dusk and dawn, biggest fish I've always caught in the evening, mind you I've caught monsters during the day as well.
