Real life experiences with H414/W760...

Who has tested the same load in hot weather and then again in cold weather to compare the differences? It tends to be a pretty accurate and versatile powder but I shy away from it due to everything I've read and heard about it's temp. sensitivity.

Regardless this summer I will work up an accurate load for something and test it again in winter to see for myself...in the meantime, experiences anyone?

I have used both powders quite extensively in the past. I have used them in .22-250 / .270 win / .308 win. and had zero problems in any of them, and with different bullet weights. Seems like with the powder shortages a person may have to use what he can find.

Did you do any velocity and POI comparisons in different seasons?

I used to use 760 in a 220 swift that I used to have. I found that the velocity would change by 250 fps from the gopher fields of July to the coyote fields of January.

I've seen a variation of about maybe 50fps from summer to winter on my 7-08, 2750 to 2770 in summer, 2720 to 2740 when it's below 0degF, using CCI250 or F215 in it. Inside of 300 yds it makes no practical difference. Used it in the 22-250 also, but, I don't have the load data for it anymore, it killed a lot of stuff though. I think the only thing regarding temps, to maybe be concerned with using 760, is over 300yds, or if you are more concerned with match target shooting. Used it for 25yrs+ in the 7-08, can't see a good reason to change anything.
