Pigeon PP Access

Hey gang,

I'm taking the wife and kids ice fishing on Saturday, and I'm hoping someone can comment on ice access at the Provincial Park.

I'm in a Dodge Journey AWD/Winter tires. Wondering what the snow pack is like, and if I should just pack the calf sled and snowshoes to drag the kids and gear out.

Thanks for any feedback,

Jeff

I know the access is good at mullhurst I saw a half dozen SUVs out there the other day, there is a hard packed trail they got out on.

had the snowmobile out today at the sandholm beach ,access is quite drifted in and no truck tracks on to the lake . hit a real wet spot quite away out from shore . be careful in that area .

Mullhurst was real slushy today so drove to the PP.
Minor ridge getting onto the ice but not bad. It was a bit nerve racking being the only vehicle on the ice today. But ice is between 17-18”. Average snow depth was around 6-8”. Hopefully there will be tracks for you by saturday. I’ll be making another set tomorrow.

lots of water under the snow on top of the ice once you get aways out from shore
some trucks have been out the last few days .
