Dont sell near as many coyotes as NAFA , and the price shows why .. Thanx for posting Marty .

Here's the rest of the story in Finland. The sale is finally over. Yes, this is all ranch fur but ranch fur sets the precident for our wild fur.

It is noteworthy to point out that a couple years ago, the ranch mink were averaging $100 USD and I believe the blue fox we're going for $450!!!!!! Blue fox and Finnraccoon are directly related to coyote prices. Normally coyotes follow the blue fox up and down, but this Canada Goose craze changed that trajectory for the time being, but there is a direct relationship for coyotes and Finnraccoon, they are used for the same purpose. I've been fooled by Finncoon before, thinking the strip on a ladies jacket was coyote fur.

Look again if you havent looked recently, the fox and finncoon prices are there now. All most pertinent to our coyotes.

Soooo, how are our NAFA coyotes gonna sell ?:thinking-006:

I'll tell you after the sale! I suspect all is well? With one hopefully small quirk hopefully soon to be worked out. But the coyote users are feeling sorry for themselves still, cause they look around and see all their buddies getting smoking deals on everything else but they have to pay big for their coyotes.

There is a real desire to switch to ranch fox and other cheaper alternatives, they can make more money that way. I wonder if fashion is dictated by profits or by what is perceived to look good?

The big indicator from the Saga sale is the Finncoon, they sold very well, very high clearance. That's our marker.

Guys we are really being taken by fur buyers. I have record of a BC trapper that kept excellent record of his yearly fur prices from 1929-1950. Average marten $34.42, Fisher $57.11, Mink $15.38, Beaver $29.84. Then with devaluation of $$ over last 70 years fur prices should be 20 times these numbers eg; Marten $680, Fisher $ 1140, Mink $300 and Beaver $600.
Seems like we are being taken to cleaners by the Fur Buyers in 21st century.

No, in modern times the ranch fur industry began and filled an otherwise insatiable hunger for fur. Without it, we would be in a very different world, coyotes probably would be nearly extinct!
