bow maintenance?
The warmer weather and grass is starting to give me the itch to start practising again.
Any regualr bow maintenance you do in the spring time. My string looks a little worse for wear but other than that every thing looks great. |
I usually change my string every second year, check my cams for dust/ twigs/ leaves and make sure my arrows are good to go (straight, fletching/ knocks still in one piece)... and now that the gophers have started meandering out and about... I make sure my sights are still on.

I dont really worry about it, As i am just finishing up the indoor 3D season so my bow is regularly maintained. I change my strings 3-4 times a year if I keep my bow that long. Wax the string really well and check the screws and you should be good to go, make sure there is nothing going to interfere with the cams and the string and have fun getting ready for hunting season

I tend to do a bit more than most to keep my bows working like I want them too
String/Cable change twice per year (but I shoot a lot) Once a year Pull cams and lubricate the axcel, bushing and bearings. Pull limbs and grease the limb pockets Lubricate the rollers on the cable rod (mathews) or change the cable slide on bows with cable slides (Conquest 4). |
