Nothing beats a shore lunch! Good for you!

If this was in Alberta, then it had to be on say ... the Athabasca river? (3 walleye over 50 cm)

All the same, now I am thinking that with the last three weeks of dry weather that its time to go and try the rivers with the lower fall flow. The high currents this year should have cleaned out some pretty good holes that had been silted in for years.

Looks like a lodge to me with all the numbered boats and the Can & US flags in the first pic.

I'm pretty sure this is at Besnard Lake lodge in Sask.

Yes, I did not open the first picture, it is at a lodge somewhere.

But all the same, the time is at hand for the walleye to start settling into the deeper pools in the Athabasca River. Some pretty good ones are caught each year, so its just a matter of time now.

There is a short section of the Battle river where you can keep 3 walleye over 50 too. Obviously these pics were not there because you wouldn't see boats on the Battle.

Great pics and an even better pan full of fish. Congrats on your adventure. Your post sums up what fishing is all about. Thanks for posting and now I’m starved!
