Wow what a beauty! Broken or pedistal injury?

Not sure Moose.
He was fine on both sides last year. I'm gonna guess that he hit his head on the way out of the Casino. We had a little break in the Stampede showers this morning, and the boys were out. The men are still laying low.... A few more pics from this morning. http://i772.photobucket.com/albums/y...pic5july15.jpg http://i772.photobucket.com/albums/y...pic2july15.jpg http://i772.photobucket.com/albums/y...pic4july15.jpg |
Wow if these are boys I can't wait to see pics of the men lol are you taking photos through a scope/binoculars?

What i find amazing is that these deer are so young compared to antler size.
|
Probably has to do with the mild winter and early spring! They've gotten a good start on their growth and lots of food to go around!

So true. Antler growth is impressive this year. These are two and three year olds that were all little forks and 100" basket racks last year. I had a closer look at the 20" Net buck. Looks like his pedicle has been damage. It will be interesting to see how he grows this year and maybe next. ---- Bulldog, just a handheld phone with a spotting scope. The rain kept the pics blurry. A phonescope would be a wise addition.... Flyguyd, I have seen a few deer with one funky antler but they rarely seem to live very long, just natural mortality. This guy has been pretty predictable and hopefully will grow and show. If a spear doesn't get in his way. ;) |
Nice looking deer. I think this will be a good year for shooting some decent bucks.
