Any law against carrying bear spray in the US?
 

Guess I could always carry an AK-47 instead :P

I bought a can for my ATV travels and now as it happens I'm taking a road trip down through Montanna. Thought I might keep the can in my car and tent just in case I get jumped by hill billies or something :sHa_sarcasticlol:

Just don't want to get arrested if a state trooper pulls me over and sees it.

None that I have ever heard of except its not to be carried in most towns and can not be used on people as this would be assault in most states. Keep it in the woods and you will have no trouble from law enforcement. One more thing, Im not positive if it can be brought thru customs into the U.S.. I do know for fact I cannot bring it from the U.S. into Canada. If this is what you intend then you better call ahead to be safe.

I've never heard of hill billies or hillbillies in Montana. Unless you're going through the Ozarks, I doubt you'll ever see one.

Yeah I guess they wouldn't like me crossing the border with it. May have to defend myself the old fashioned way......with a rock :)

I have crossed both ways with it when on my motorcycle with zero issues. As soon as they ask the questions about firearms I have told them right away and they didn't even ask to see it.

Hmm I find that interesting because most outdoors stores in Bozeman post info taken from Canadian Gov website that says each Canadian resident can take 1 can of bear spray into Canada with them. If you declare bear spray they shouldn't have a problem letting you bring it across, afterall its not intended to be used on humans.

Crossed many times with bear spray. Use to tell them, not I don't even mention it. They don't care. Nothing wrong with taking it across the border.
