1894 sbl .44 mag
Anyone else picked up one of these?
Only had a chance to shoot it once so far. Feel I need to slug the barrel - cast loads that shoot well in my henry were all over the place. Might like the lighter jacketed rounds best. 240 hornady xtp with 24g of h110 were shooting 2 1/2 inch at 50. Those are a .431. As for fit and finish, the side of the bolt sits thumbnail proud out of the side of the receiver but the wood to metal is as good as any marlin I've seen - save one small spot above the tang. Another easy fix. Thoughts? Colin |
Cool looking guns and the 1894 is a slick little action. I wanted a sbl when they announced them but found a 1894 from 1975 in .44 that followed me home instead. Let us know how yours cycles and shoots
Here’s what I’m running. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...19d3dc43d6.jpg |
