Seen this story today, made me laugh, visual of a marten riding on the back of a deer.

Reckon a guy would need a bigger box and connibear... Imagine the amount of bait you would need for these well fed ferrets... I cant get the picture of a rolly-polly marten riding a goat sized deer outa my head. lol

I get the CBC now! They're 100% comedy. 1.6 + billions worth of pure goofiness!

That's an amazing Marten... Allegedly weighing in at well over 500lbs. Bigger than a Griz, lookin' like a Moose! :sHa_sarcasticlol:

Just need some more details, what are actual sizes / weight of these well fed marten? They may be source of some of the 3xl's we see in NAFA records. Probably eating to many salmon like the grizzly bears in Alaska.

CBC at its finest. Marten killing a deer....maybe after a billion more years of evolution. Where do they find these idiot reporters? We should protect the entire western seaboard to help this super subspecies (likely soon to be protected). They do realize that even HUGE marten are smaller than a house cat right? Would be some nice trapping ground, although likely only semis that far west.
