Tacoma truck Tires
 

I am looking at the Kumho Road Venture AT51 or the Michelin LTX A/T2.
Was hoping I could get some feedback from someone that has driven one these tires. I do 80% pavement, 20% gravel driving.Costco handles the Michelin and I have seen some good reviews. Any help or feedback is great appreciated.

Had Michelin LTX AT/2 on my wifes Forerunner. 95% pavement, mostly city. Only sees off road if I take it for a cruise. Great in summer, terrible in winter. Decent snow traction but terrible on ice and the rubber gets really hard at -20 so didn't stop that great even on dry pavement. Never had the other ones. Now running Hakipilatens on it year round. Much better.

Just throwing this out there... maybe check out a Bridgestone Dueler A/T RH-S.

I found those to be decent when I had my SUV. Just a suggestion.

I also like a Toyo Open Country, but they are rather noisy on the highway.

I have the Michelin LTX AT/2 and they are OK. Good the first year but second year not so much. Still have good tread but same as said above.

I won't buy them again the next time around. Not sure what I will get next but I will watch everyone else's suggestions.

I know it's not one of your choices, but I do about the same type of driving with my Taco and I run the BFG All Terrain KO2's on mine, excellent tire overall, no complaints. Had the KO's on my FJ cruiser as well before this.

Those kumhos look way nicer and more aggressive than the michelins.
I would go with the kumhos. My gmc canyon has a rare tire size and the
tire shop gave me a choice between the michelin ltx a/t2 and the
firestone destination a/t. I saw lots of poor reviews on the michelins
and went with the more aggressive tread on the firestones. Those
michelins look like a car tire. Ha

I have a set of kumhos on my taco. They work well. Rubber isn't crazy soft but is okay on snow and ice

I run Michilin LTX-AT2 tires on my taco. Great on the hwy and in the summer. Decent when off-road (nothing crazy, mostly some hard pack trails/fields). They turn into hockey pucks in the winter, but such is life. I just run a few hundred pounds in the box and run 4x4 as needed.

Can't help with either......but I do have a Taco with tires :)

I'm running Cooper AT/W rubber. Very happy with them in all aspects. I've had them through everything but really deep snow, of mud. Traction overall is excellent, good ride, and pretty quiet, and I'm a fussy dog.

Running cooper AT/W's as well, and very impressed so far after about 7500kms. Daily asphalt, an weekend gravel on a regular basis. Had them through some pretty good water holes last weekend, with fairly soft bottoms. Not a mud tire, but handled what was thrown at them without any trouble

I should mention these are on a 2010 ford ranger.

On my 2006 Tacoma I have gone through Revos (excellent), Revo2 (far inferior) and now the AT/2. Great ride, feel connected to the road. Would buy again.

I have been doing some research and these tires actually have a really good rating. I did see one website that said they were more of a winter tire. Are you running these tires all year round?

Hankooks. There what Toyota uses. Been using them for 3 years and there fine. I do lots of offroad and highway driving and no complaints.

I have 16,000km on mine now, and yes I run them all year round, that is the whole intent of the tire. Cooper doesn't recommend you run them in ambient temps above 95deg F. They are designed for a cooler climate like ours. I'm super happy with them on my Taco.
