No way.....I would guess 170ish.....but I could be wrong. Mass is only a small part of the score, for a mulie mainbeam and deep forks is what you need.

Still a nice looking specimen!

packhuntr 11-06-2011 09:46 AM

Thats an awesome first mule, spoiled right off the hop! Id say mid to high 180's, might be better than I think. Awesome mule deer, love those inline bucks!

Not sure what youre used to seeing, some of you guys need to look at that deer again!! Hes not lacking in any of those dept's Lefty, if his fronts look short they arent, they are just made look small cause hes a hog, they are solid avg G4's. The inches are all there for a high grossing muledeer, exactly what you want to kill when you get a draw. That thing is a brute guys.

Don K 11-06-2011 09:57 AM

I don't think it'd break 180. Nice buck though!

Really, am I the only one out of all you guys seeing the 15 or so odd inches of inlines and more than likely 2 for sure stickers that look like they will break an inch at the bases, on top of a 170 inch frame? The pictures might be decieving me but I dont think so. Either you guys have read too many magazines and think big muledeer need to be 230 inch or you havent seen enough magazines and dont know what a big deer looks like? B&C net typ's and non typ's are so rare they nearly dont exist, thats not a "nice deer", thats what a big mule deer looks like anywhere mule deer are found.

packhuntr 11-06-2011 10:44 AM

I might be giving him an inch more than he has on each point etc if the pics are decieving me. If so right on hes not under 180 inch. Surprising how many guys that dont see that deer for what it is. I say congrats and lets see more pics and a score man

JohninAB 11-06-2011 10:50 AM

No doubt Pack is right on the money,he's busted through the 80's forsure, very nice deer.

Speaking of B/C net typicals,my son has his first Mule buck tag this year and I can truely say with all my Mule deer hunting I've done, I finally got an up close and personal look at a brute of a B/C typical on opening day...wish I was holding the tag but my boy got several cracks at him....he learnt a valuable lesson on wind drift that day..lol.

I would have waited for a bigger one. Not really. Nice buck, congrats!

AB2506 11-06-2011 01:56 PM

I read the rest of the thread. That is a big buck. High 180s for sure, maybe more.

Cowboyclay 11-06-2011 02:18 PM

i shot a 170 muley lasst year and this guy dwarfs mine. so he is definately bigger than 180. Id say closer to 190

Lefty-Canuck 11-06-2011 02:29 PM

The 2 pics posted do not likely do this deer justice....one its being held out from as far as possible.. and two I would really like to see a profile pic of it....
